Supported Image File Formats

• QuickTime 2.5 and later supports:
• QuickDraw PICT
• QuickTime Image
• MacPaint
• Photoshop (versions 2.5 and 3.0)
• Silicon Graphics
• GIF
• JFIF/JPEG
• QuickDraw GX Picture (if QuickDraw GX is installed).
• QuickTime 3 and later adds:
• BMP
• PNG
• TGA
• TIFF
• QuickTime 4 adds:
• FlashPix file format on PowerPC and Windows platforms.

Third-party developers may also provide graphics importers for other image file formats. Future versions of QuickTime may include support for new formats.
